The marine extension agents serve the role of communicating the results of marine research from universities and transferring it into the hands of people using or managing coastal and ocean resources. Susan Schlosser (E-mail) provides educational programs on coastal and marine resources using university based research results to develop programs and conduct applied research in Humboldt and Mendocino Counties.

Projects Include:

• Preparation of the Humboldt Bay Management Plan with the Interagency Team
• Organizing educational tours and workshops on watershed restoration.
• Locating introduced European green crab populations in Humboldt Bay
• Researching sea urchin nutrition and reproduction
